Cambridge has a similar layout to Oxford, and currently has over 20,000 students attending the university yearly. About 10% of their undergraduate population consists of international students.
The University of Edinburgh opened its doors for the first time in 1583 in the center of Scotland’s capital. With its rich and successful history, the university came to be one of the best and most influential in the UK and in the world today. In particular, this university is highly valued for its research program being ranked 4th in the UK. The famous scientist Peter Higgs, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics in 2013 is one of many Edinburgh’s alumni.  The University of Essex was established in 1963. Unlike most British universities, it has one main campus located in Wivenhoe Park, in Colchester, England. There are approximately 11,000 students (8,000 undergraduates) who attend the University of Essex yearly.
The University of Keele founded in 1949, first named as the University of North Staffordshire, and later in 1962 entitled as the University of Keele. Its campus is located in North Staffordshire, between Manchester and Birmingham. It’s a self-contained area where you can find almost anything you need within the campus area.
